This course focuses on the casual web author. Software that uses HTML code will be used to build local intranets to simulate conducting day‐to‐day internal communications for education and business, post an announcement, host a collaborative web-based meeting, maintain a company calendar, or submit reports in HTML format. Students will use web authoring tools to bring everything together into a finished page, publish the page on a web server, conduct tests and evaluate their visual interface, determine if the page is technically robust, and evaluate if the web site is effective in communicating its message. Keyboarding skills are required to be successful in this course.
